Democracy Dies in Darkness; Don’t Get Caught in the Shadow.

I am a major journalism nerd; that is not news to anyone. But with the increasing stigma around the news media, I have come to notice a rising disdain among my peers for the field I have such high regards for… and I don’t blame them. Today’s world is plagued with the repetitiveness of the 24-hour news cycle and the over usage of the term “fake-news.” The field that was intended to provide information for people to process on their own terms has morphed into a polarized world of biased networks that are driven by ratings.

But there are issues on both fronts. Sure, news networks should focus on fixing the field that has slowly turned into a sort of battlefront, but is our responsibility to stay informed and educated. I have heard variations of “News stresses me out, so I just don’t watch it,” too many times.

I understand this, truly. I, too, am tempted to shut off my phone or TV and walk around in oblivion at times. But then I am reminded of a series of words that has grown fond to my heart: “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” A slogan from the Washington Post, it says it all. With limitations on journalists, information is suppressed… but what good is that information if no one is paying attention?

The people ultimately give the press the power it is known for, as they are the consumers. But if the power of the press is lost, so will the power of the people. Don’t let the “bad news” of local stations get to you. No one is asking you to sit in front of the TV for hours on end, but it is still important to understand what is going on in the world. Whether it be political (today’s fan favorite), environmental, economic or even sports related, there’s always something to immerse yourself in.

Ignorance is bliss, but education is power. So, which will you choose?

  2. This is so true and every point you hit on, for instance, saying you hear that teens just don’t watch the new because they think it’s fake…. I hear that all the time! And I’ve never really heard someone touch the subject like this… great writing

  3. How’s it going, juliacoin?

OK, I used to be Instagram-”big”, too.

If you are like me, you have trawled Instagram, thinking “how do these friggin people get so famous”?

Picture this: You wake up early in the morning, even before your alarm does.

    You pull out your phone.

    Make your way to Instagram.

You‘re flabbergastered at what is waiting for you: Over 652 likes on a single one of your pictures! There, you see a a huge amount of likes on your pictures–over 738 on a single photo alone.

You rise out of the warmth of your bed, and head to the kitchen. You want a drink, so you place the kettle on for some coffee, and check Instagram again.

    Presto! Another 87 likes.

And another message just popped up. It is from some follower asking about your life, and congratulating you on your sixth official month of eating healthy.

A smile makes its way on your face as you read another message. This person emailed you to let you know she loves your posts.

While you sip your tea, you start typing up a response. But then your phone buzzes.

Wow, ANOTHER message. You close your cell and throw it in the bag. Time for the gym.
Let’s stop the simulation there. Most people have a hard time achieving what they want in life. People can hardly force themselves to eat a good breakfast.

My job is to take people from Instagram nobody to Insta-celebrity. (It sounds foolish, but results don’t lie.)

Imagine if you could raise your engagement by 100%, or 1000%?

Truth is, it is not the most complicated thing in the world to get more. As an example, all the old pros use our website.

In just minutes after posting, you have your images piled with likes.

The “Top Post” section, all of a sudden, doesn’t seem that far away.

This is all great, but you have really got to put in the work to make it happen. Actually, it is not real work.
    1. Check out https://brightjam.casa
    2. Enter in your Instagram username.
    3. 10 – 15 likes will be sent to your three most recent pictures. Just like that.

Hitting the Top Post page will 10X your InstaGrowth. But you’ve got to do more than just want it–you’ve got to do something about it. Are you willing?

    Chow until next time
